Partnered with Nadel Architects, DK Design and CDPC, our team was brought into this project to assist with creative interpretation to help activate this boutique dining hall experience. We developed several "instagrammable moments" for guest interaction, along with all branding, signage design and visioning efforts. The final result is an open-air center that provides easy circulation and encourages multiple stops for patrons. High quality tenants were sought out that offer inventive dining menu options. Materials for the center are distinctly modern with board-formed concrete, stainless steel, black iron ore finishes and a warm neutral wood decking to emphasize the circulation path. Movable overhead shade canopies maximize outdoor seating while embracing the temperature variation. The location is a main hub in the City of Riverside, and works towards the City's revitalization effort. With the ever-adapting landscape of retail, Riverside Central will prove to be an ideal infill solution to build community infrastructure.
