Oppia, a European based sports technology company, is a leader in software and hardware development that measures athletes performance and diagnostics related to game strategy. Chrestensen Design was selected to provide the ideal branding solution to properly position the company in the minds of consumers and athletes. An initial study of various branding designs and associated "tag-lines" were examined by the team. The focus of the icon is the tracking "iris" camera eye that is used for creating calculations in real time. This evolved into a final branding selection in which comprehensive design guidelines and a full advertising campaign were derived. The message of the brand communicates forward thinking technological innovation. Intense green and dark grey branding colors are derived from the hardware components. The new line of products being launched will also include creative application of the brand that will also be used for packaging and promotional items. Oppia is gaining market share quickly as a leader in dynamic sports measuring and analysis.
